Why Volunteer?

By volunteering, I’m personally investing, which helps to make a change in the community I serve.

By volunteering, I’m providing a gift that continues to give through the growth and development opportunities, in just a couple of hours each week.

For our young people, simply having someone who listens and cares whether they do their homework, can make all the difference in the world.

How do I get started?

Those interested in our volunteer tutoring opportunities should:

  • Feel comfortable directing a child to stay on task.
  • Be knowledgeable in multiple academic subjects.
  • Commit to completing projects with youth within a prescribed amount of time.
  • Be at ease working with at-risk young people.

Tutoring takes place at 6270 W. North Ave, Chicago IL 60639. We are currently accepting tutor applications, so start now to make a difference in the life of a child.

The first step is to give us a call to set up an appointment. You will be given a background application to complete. Once we receive for application we will set a training day.

For more information on becoming a tutor, please call (773) 622-3267.
